CBT and the Direct Access Scheme

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) in Elgin and Buckie area

CBT is the first step you will take in the process of learning to ride a motorcycle. This training course is usually completed in a single day and is the initial step you need to take to get a two-wheeler licence. Most of our clients find that CBT training is informative as well as a very enjoyable experience. It is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded motorcyclists. This training course is compulsory for anyone who wishes to acquire a motorcycle licence, and it’s where you’ll learn some of the most important rules of riding a motorcycle safely. 

You can rely on the qualified instructors at Fast Trak Scotland to provide excellent training and give you in-depth knowledge on all aspects of motorbike riding. On completing this course, you will be given a motorbike CBT certificate which is necessary to complete module 1 and 2 tests.

Module 1 and 2 tests

Motorcycle Direct Access Scheme

DAS stands for Direct Access Scheme. Completing this course gives you the licence to ride an unrestricted capacity motorcycle. With a combination of 2 different module tests, you’ll get further knowledge with regard to motorcycle handling and road safety. After the theory sessions, you will also have to undertake a short test to confidently present all the skills learnt.

For DSA training, you will need:
  • A motorbike CBT certificate
  • To pass the theory and hazard perception test
  • To complete DSA motorcycle test module 1 and module 2 courses
